The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a field fire in the 1000 block of Woodshire Lane at 18:34. Brush 742 responded moments after the alert and arrived at the scene of a 30'x20' pile of debris on fire that was getting out of control. Crews from Brush 742 and Engine 712 pulled hand lines and attacked the fire, using approximately 3000 gallons of water to contain it. JVFC units remained at the scene until 20:12.
