The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond an engine to the scene of a reported dwelling fire located in the 4400 block of Prospect Road. First-arriving units found a 21/2-story single family home with heavy smoke showing from multiple areas. Engines 712 and 714 responded to the scene while Supply 781 secured a draft site nearby. JVFC personnel assisted with fire ground operations for 5 hours before being placed back into service.
