The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported dwelling fire in the 3900 Block of Norrisville Road during the early morning hours. Engine 714 arrived on scene, to find a 2 1/2 story wood frame dwelling with fire showing from the alpha/bravo corner. A 2 1/2" hand line was quickly placed in service to knock the bulk of the fire. Crews found fire extension along the bravo side of the dwelling leading up to the roof line which caused for extensive overhaul of the structure. Units remained on scene for 3 hours before being placed back in service.
Good afternoon. I am one of the occupants of the house at 3912C Norrisville Road, Jarrettsville MD. I wanted to take a moment and simply say THANK YOU for your service. Although our three cats didn't make it due to smoke inhalation, several fighters went in and searched and found them. This at least gave me and my family the opportunity for closure and to bid them a decent farewell. I am so grateful for that. Again, thank you and GOD BLESS YOU.
