The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with rescue in the area of Troyer and Norrisville Roads. Units quickly arrived on the scene of a single vehicle on its roof in the road with one victim still trapped inside. Crews went to work to stabilize the vehicle and remove the victim from the passenger side rear door. After assessment of the patient, Trooper 1 was requested to the scene for a Priority 1 Category A patient. A second transport unit was also requested to the scene for an additional patient. One patient was flown to a local area trauma center while the second was transported by land to a local hospital. Crews secured the scene of all hazards and then secured a landing zone for Trooper 1.
