The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported dwelling fire in the 4000 Block of Norrisville Road. Chief 7-2 and Engine 714 arrived on scene and reported a single wide trailer fully involved. Crews quickly deployed multiple hand lines to extinguish the fire. A nearby pond was used to provide a constant water supply to the fire scene. Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time due to extensive overhaul before being placed back in service. Cause of fire is still under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office.
