The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported dwelling fire located in the 3200 Block of Dry Branch Road. Engine 711 from JVFC House 2 arrived first and reported a two story single family dwelling with heavy fire showing from an attached garage. A working fire dispatch and tanker strike team was requested for the additional assistance. Crews made an aggressive attack on the fire therefore preventing any further spread of fire into the dwelling. Crews from JVFC as well as several mutual aid companies worked this fire for almost 3 hours before being placed back in service. The Maryland State Fire Marshal is investigating this incident.
