The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company along with surrounding companies conducted a live controlled burn Saturday morning. During this training exercise, crews were able to simulate a total of 21 live burn evolutions under a controlled environment. Crews rotated through until noon at which point the house was let to "free burn". It is not often that these type of structures are acquired and there is extensive planning that occurs as well as various permits the Fire Company and property owner have to obtain, prior to conducting the training. Lunch was provided by the JVFC Auxiliary.
