The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company along with surrounding mutual aid companies was alerted for a dwelling fire in the 1400 Block of Baldwin Mill Road. Engine 714 arrived and reported light smoke showing from a 1 story single family dwelling. Crews were able to quickly extinguish a stove top fire and reduced the assignment to JVFC units only. Crews remained on scene for a brief period of time to ensure there was no extension of fire beyond the point of origin.
