The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond an engine and supply unit to the 4000 Block of Prospect Road in Whiteford's VFC first due for the working dwelling fire. Engine 714 responded and assisted units with fire ground operations and overhaul of the dwelling. Supply 781 and Brush 742 were placed in service before their arrival. Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time before returning to station. Maryland State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause.
