Jarrettsville Volunteers respond to numerous chimney fires throughout the cold months and we want to take this time to share a quick safety message. Please remember to always have your chimney cleaned and inspected yearly by a licensed chimney professional and use only seasoned firewood.

Also, remember to always test your smoke alarms throughout the residence at least once a month to make sure they’re all working properly!
