The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond for a reported vehicle vs. tree in the area of Jarrettsville Pike and Fallston Road. Deputy Chief 7 arrived and reported a tree down across the roadway on top of a single vehicle. Crews assessed a single patient who later refused treatment and transport. The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company along with surrounding mutual aid companies was alerted for a dwelling fire in the 1400 Block of Baldwin Mill Road. Engine 714 arrived and reported light smoke showing from a 1 story single family dwelling. Crews were able to quickly extinguish a stove top fire and reduced the assignment to JVFC units only. The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond for a reported building fire, located in the 1600 Block of West Jarrettsville Road. While enroute the assignment was downgraded to a dumpster fire which held the assignment to Engine 714. The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond for a reported motor vehicle accident with rescue in Hereford VFC's first due, located at the intersection of Troyer & Shepperd Roads. Rescue 751 arrived and assisted crews with rescue operations and patient removal. Rescue 751 remained on scene for an extended period of time before being placed back in service.

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of Norrisville Road and Harford Creamery Road. Units responded and arrived to find a two vehicle accident at location blocking the roadway. Crews assessed, treated and transported two patients to an area hospital for further evaluation. Two Fly Outs in Three Days

The first fly out occurred in the 800 Block of Federal Hill Road on June 17th. Units responded for a reported dirt bike accident with one patient reportedly injured. On arrival crews requested aviation for a Priority 1, Category A patient. A landing zone was secured at the scene for Trooper 1.

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond Rescue 751 to assist the Fallston VFC with a working automobile rescue in the area of Rt 152 and Pleasantville Road. Earlier today, Chief Bryan Schulz along with President Steve Lancaster proudly represented the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company at the Annual Exelon Employee Volunteer Luncheon. Firefighter Travis East who also works for MyBGE was recognized as a winner of the “Energy for the Community“ Award.

During the luncheon, Chief Schulz accepted an award on behalf of Travis East.
