The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with rescue in the area of Route 165 and St Clair Bridge Road. First arriving JVFC units encountered a single vehicle off the roadway, on its side and with a single patient still inside. Control Burn Training

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company along with surrounding companies conducted a live controlled burn Saturday morning. During this training exercise, crews were able to simulate a total of 21 live burn evolutions under a controlled environment. Just prior to midnight, Jarrettsville, Norrisville, Whiteford, Fawn Grove, Fallston, and Bel Air Fire Companies were alerted for a reported house fire on Rush Road in Jarrettsville.

Engine 712 to Street Auto Fire

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond an engine to assist units en route to a working auto fire. Engine 712 arrived and assisted crews with a single fully involved auto. Crews worked the scene for a short period of time before being placed back in service.

Garage Fire 702 Box

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported garage fire located in the 3900 Block of Grimm Road in the early morning hours. Deputy Chief 7 arrived and reported a detached garage fully involved. Crews quickly went to work stretching hose lines to extinguish the fire. Supply 781 secured a water source at "Grimmels Pond." JVFC Responds to Norrisville Fire

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond two engines and a supply unit to assist with a working dwelling fire located in the 5200 Block of West Heaps Road. Engine 712 and 711 assisted with fire attack, salvage and overhaul of the structure. Supply 781 secured a water source at the Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company.

Captain Mike Galbreath and Firefighter Travis East, who works for BGE, are seen here being interviewed regarding a BGE grant that was awarded to JVFC earlier this month. Auto Fire 722 Box

Chief Bryan Schulz, March 31

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported auto fire located in the 2000 Block of Phillips Mill Road. Engine 712 responded and soon arrived and reported a single vehicle on fire. Crews quickly deployed an 1 3/4" hand line and a quick knock was made. No civilians were reported injured during the fire.
