The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company placed in service today a 2009 Spartan ELFD/4 Guys SS 500 hp Cummins Diesel Rescue Engine. JVFC personnel have been training on the unit extensively over the past few months, including today's session at Brown's Auto Parts in White Hall. Members have been driving the unit and familiarizing themselves with the equipment carried on board, which includes:
- 1250 gpm pump - 915 gallon water tank - Amkus Ultimate System - 30 kw Harrison hydraulic generator - 9000 watt light tower with wireless remote - 5,000 lb and 12,000 lb winches - 1000' of 5" LDH - Air bags - Struts/Jacks - Cribbing - Rope - Water rescue equipment
Rescue 751 replaces Engine 713 as first out on all motor vehicle accidents and rescues. It also represents the fire company's ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality of service possible to the community. Feel free to stop by the firehouse to take a look.
