Engine 713 En Route to Arkansas

By Captain Dave Pullen
February 22, 2010

At noon this past Monday, Engine 713 was loaded onto a trailer to start her 1,200-mile journey to her new home. The engine was purchased by the Parkers Chapel Fire Department and will be their new first-out engine.

Jarrettsville purchased Engine 713 new in 1995 and utilized her as the "squad", running car accidents and rescues for the past 15 years. With the placement of Rescue 751 into service, Engine 713 was placed on sale and will now go to her new home in Arkansas.

The engine will not be lonely though, as old Engine 714, Jarrettsville's 1985 Spartan/FMC was purchased by Parkers Chapel in 2000. This almost makes Parkers Chapel Company 7's second substation - just with a longer response time.

Congratulations Parkers Chapel!
