The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported auto fire on the East West Highway (RT 23) in the area of the Morse Road overpass. First arriving units reported a single vehicle, well involved in fire. Engine 712 used a single 1 3/4" hand line to extinguish the fire. Crews secured the scene of all hazards before returning to service. Route 23 was shut down for a brief period while crews handled the incident.
