| Fire Police from JVFC were on-hand at the intersection of Routes 152 and 146 and at the Madonna intersection to assist the Harford County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police redirect traffic as hundreds of motorcycles rolled through Jarrettsville for the 5th Annual Rally for RAACE, a charity motorcycle ride and family fun day event to benefit The RAACE Foundation. The RAACE Foundation (Race Against Abuse of Children Everywhere), is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to fighting the epidemic of child sexual abuse through public awareness campaigns and the distribution of educational materials. There are an estimated 39 million survivors of child sexual abuse that exist in America today. Statistics indicate that 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 7 boys are sexually abused before the age of 18. Only when the problem of Child Sexual Abuse is faced openly can we hope to protect our children. Visit www.RAACE.org for more details. |
