| The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company along with members from several mutual aid companies attended our annual ice and cold water rescue drill. Participants practiced rescue techniques given different scenarios in which a "victim" is trapped in cold water or on the ice. Crews were able to practice those techniques in a controlled environment learning to safely rescue those "victims."
Very special thanks to the Susquehanna Hose Dive Team and Clear Meadow Farm for their help in making this drill a success. Also thanks to the JVFC Auxiliary for making a wonderful breakfast and lunch for the over 50 attendees. |
