| The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a chimney fire in the 2000 block of Mount Horeb Road around 1800hrs. Chief 7 was first to arrive and advised Dispatch of fire showing from the chimney. Upon arrival, the crew aboard Engine 714 entered the home to check for any fire extension and to extinguish the fire while the crew from Truck 631 performed roof operations. Crews confirmed the fire was contained to the chimney area only and proceeded with extinguishment and overhaul. Units remained on-scene for approximately one hour before clearing and returning to service. |
