The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an investigation call in the 4200 block of Federal Hill Road at 18:05 hours. Engine 714 responded along with Chief 7 and was advised that the homeowners vehicle had slid into a propane tank and striking it. The 500 gallon propane tank rolled into the wood line area where it began to leak. Units requested a full fire and HazMat reponse. Crews secured the area and began to monitor the air for any unsafe levels. A representative from the propane company responded to the scene and secured the tank.
