The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with reported rescue at the intersection of Sharon Acres and West Jarrettsville Roads just before 1000 hours. Chief 7 arrived on the scene of a two-vehicle accident, confirming rescue at location, and requesting Aviation for a Priority 2 Category A patient. Rescue 751 arrived and the crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle and rapidly placing rescue tools in service. Patient access was gained by removing the vehicle's roof and driver side doors. The patient was extricated within 12 minutes. One patient was transported by land and another by air to area hospitals. Units cleared shortly after.
