From Friday to Sunday Harford County was hit by its first Blizzard since 2010. Some parts of northern Harford County had received up to 37 inches of snow and with that came heavy winds causing white out conditions. The Maryland National Guard was called out, to assist fire companies with Fire and EMS related incidents such as accessing and removing patients from their homes when apparatus was unable to make access. JVFC stayed active running various calls ranging from medically related incidents to motor vehicle accidents. Members staffed both of our stations 24 hrs a day during this event. Members spent many hours away from their families to ensure the safety of the people in the communities we serve.
