The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, along with fire companies from around the area, were alerted for a reported dwelling fire located in the 3200 block of Sharon Road at approximately 1200 hours. Deputy Chief 7 arrived on the scene of a single-wide trailer with heavy fire showing. Engine crews made an aggressive interior attack and the fire was under control within 25 minutes. Due to strong winds, the fire also spread to a nearby wooded area, but that blaze was also quickly placed under control. Crews remained on-scene for approximately two and a half hours before being placed back into service.
