The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to respond two engines for a reported barn fire located in the 100 block of Chestnut Hill Road just before noon. First-arriving units found a large barn, fully involved, with possible exposures on multiple sides. Crews pulled multiple hand lines and began to extinguish the fire. Extensive overhaul was performed to ensure the fire was fully extinguished. JVFC crews remained on scene for an hour and a half before being placed back into service.
