Second Alarm Dwelling Fire, 705 Box

The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported dwelling fire in the 3400 Block of Widows Care. Chief 7-2 arrived and reported a single family dwelling well involved and soon requested the second alarm be struck out. Crews from Jarrettsville and surrounding companies worked this incident for an extended period of time before placing the fire under control. Cause of the fire was determined to be improperly discarded fire place ashes.
