The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported woods fire in the 1800 Block of Midsummer Lane. First arriving Units reported a working woods fire approximately 2 acres in size on a hillside. Multiple mutual aid units were requested to the scene to assist with fire containment and extinguishment. Crews were able to place the fire under control in an hour.
