| At 2003 hours, the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, as well as mutual aid companies, were alerted for a chimney fire in the 4300 block of Madonna Road. Within a minute, Engine 714 was out the door with four, followed by Engines 712 and 711, Supply 781, and an engine each from Norrisville and York County Station 56.
Prior to the arrival of any apparatus, Jarrettsville's FF Hoskins arrived on location with a working chimney fire contained to the chimney, followed by Chief 7's report of flames from the chimney. The crew of E-714, first to arrive, began the interior work of removing or burning material in the chimney and checking for extension into the attic. Engine 712's crew had the task of laddering a difficult, pitched roof to gain access to the chimney.
The call was handled by Engines 714, 712, and 711 who assisted with interior tasks. Units cleared at 2042 hours. |
