| With the funeral for our brother firefighter Mark Falkenhan from Lutherville taking place on Monday, January 24th, fire companies throughout Maryland and Pennsylvania transferred to Baltimore County.
Engine 712 transferred to Jacksonville, Station 47, at 0700 hrs with plans to standby until 1700 hrs. Shortly after noon, Company 7 was alerted for a 10-50 PI with Rescue at the intersection of Jarrettsville Pike and Hess Road. Utility 771 was first to respond from Station 47 with Engine 712's crew change.
Knowing Station 47's proximity to the scene, Chief 7 requested that Engine 712 respond on the call. Utility 771 arrived, established command, and advised that the accident was actually in Baltimore County and that there would be a rescue.
Engine 712 arrived and used it's 32" AMKUS spreader to open the door. Ambulance 792 transported one patient and Rescue 751 remained in service at the scene.
Engine 712 transferred back to Station 47 until 1545 hrs before returning to Jarrettsville. |
