The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a chimney fire in the 1300 block of North Bend Road at 20:51. Engine 714 went en route moments after the alert and arrived on the scene of a two-story single-family home with a working chimney fire. Crews quickly entered the home up and began overhauling the chimney so that the fire could be contained to the stove insert. JVFC units remained on the scene until 21:41.
