The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company held its annual ice rescue training on Sunday, February 9th, at Clear Meadow Farm. Members from Jarrettsville and surrounding companies in Harford and Baltimore County participated in multiple scenarios under the direction of the Susquehanna Hose Company Water Rescue team and the Harford County Technical Rescue team. Instructors simulating as "victims" were extricated from the icy water utilizing different techniques and strategies.
A special thanks to the Jarrettsville Auxiliary for providing members who attended with a delicious breakfast and lunch. Also a special appreciation to the Susquehanna Hose Company Water Rescue team and the Harford County Technical Rescue team for instructing and conducting a safe training session.
