At 2:13 PM, Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company and surrounding companies were dispatched to the 4000 Block Ganford Court for a reported Chimney Fire. E711 w/4, E712 w/4, E713 w/4, R7 w/3, SUP7 w/2, CH7, CH72 and SO7 responded.

Upon arrival, units located a working Chimney Fire. The assignment was held to JVFC units and Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co. TR13. Units operated on scene for approximately 1 1/2 hours before returning to service.

Remember, make sure to have your chimney cleaned by a professional. Also, make sure you have working carbon monoxide alarms along with working smoke alarms on all levels and each bedroom.
